So there’s this line in Scott Pilgrim & the Infinite Sadness that I’ve never understood. When Scott and Todd are about to fight in Honest Ed’s, and Julies says about the store:

“You know how, when a baby is first born, it just cries at the sheer horror of being alive?”

I understand now. That store gave me an existentialist crisis, and I didn’t even go in.
